Mrs. Mona Sadeq has been the president of Muslim Women''s association since October 2023. Mrs. Mona received her B.A. from Lebanese American University in 1980 and her MPA in Public Administration/Nonprofit management from George Mason University in 2002. She has extensive experience working for private and public sectors in finance and accounting. Mrs. Mona has been actively involved and supportive of several non-profit organizations. She describes herself as Palestinian, Arab, American Muslim Women. In 2015, she helped co-found the National Arab American Women’s Association—NAAWA and held the position as a treasurer and then as president. In 2020 Mona became the President/ Executive Director of the American Palestinian Women’s Association—APWA. She received the Most Valuable Person (MVP) from Arab America Foundation back in 2020.
Saussen is a financial advisor with a master’s degree in Banking and Financial Marketing from the University of Tunis. When she was in Tunis, she was part of many associations that are involved in humanitarian aids. Currently she is working on her CPA (Certified Public Accounting) certification.
Busra Aydın is a doctoral student specializing in Educational Leadership. She is the elect Vice President of Elementary Schools and an Executive Board Member at the Washington Teachers Union. She is a seasoned educator in Washington D.C. She has two children and enjoys traveling in her spare time.
Born in Cairo, Egypt, Aida is the youngest of eight children. Her passion for cooking blossomed from a young age as she helped her mother in the kitchen. She is now living in Northern Virginia where she and her husband raised their three children. In 2012, she launched Cooking and Beyond (www.cookingandbeyond.com) with the help of business training and mentoring from Empowered Women International (EWI). Aida shares EWI’s vision for using the arts as a unifying language of multicultural understanding, and Aida’s art is cooking. She is an active volunteer with the Muslim Women’s Association, Baltimore Luxor Alexandria Sister City Committee and the Egyptian American Cultural Association, and is involved in many fundraising events.
Mona is an Egyptian designer born and raised in Dubai and is the founder of Ramona Designs in USA back in 2020. Mona's Ramona Designs is a women-led brand specializing in creating unique, elegant formal wear for women who seek individuality and sophistication. Her brand has grown into a symbol of creativity and excellence, earning recognition on prominent platforms such as Fox5 News, USA Channel 9, and DC Magazine. She dressed notable figures such as Miss Universe 2022, the First Lady of Maryland, and numerous pageant queens. Her designs have also been showcased on major platforms across the DMV area, cementing her reputation as a celebrity fashion designer.
